Dr. Jeffrey Antimarino is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is also a member of the American Board of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

Dr. Antimarino graduated from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California with a degree in biology and received his medical degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Antimarino went on to train in general surgery and plastic surgery at one of the premiere surgical training programs in the country, the University Of Southern California (USC). During his general surgery training, USC had a well-developed bariatric surgery center which provided Dr. Antimarino the opportunity to train in the latest weight loss procedures. It gave him the insight needed to better understand the problems patients may face when dealing with obesity and their journey in maintaining their weight loss. His plastic surgery training was extensive in the areas of breast reconstruction, reconstruction after weight loss, burns, pediatrics, birth defects and cosmetic procedures. Dr. Antimarino excelled at USC and received numerous honors and awards during his training, many of them in teaching.

Upon completion of hBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon in Pittsburghis training in 2001, Dr. Antimarino was asked to join the staff at USC, and was appointed Assistant Clinical Professor teaching the most current and innovative techniques in plastic surgery and burn care to residents and medical students. During this time, he was also asked to join one of the most prestigious and well-known private practice groups in Southern California, located in Santa Monica. Dr. Antimarino spent the next five years splitting his time between teaching at USC and developing his private practice. Although this was very rewarding for him, it was difficult to keep this pace as he and his wife, Ella, began their family of three children. In 2006, Dr. Antimarino stepped down from USC to fully concentrate on his private practice, specializing in aesthetic procedures, breast surgery, breast reconstruction and reconstruction after weight loss.

In 2007, Dr. Antimarino decided to relocate his practice from Southern California to the Pittsburgh area. With a strong sense of community and the desire to educate and connect with patients, he and his wife felt Western Pennsylvania would be a perfect fit to build a practice and raise their family.

Dr. Antimarino continues to maintain his California medical license, allowing him to stay abreast of the latest trends and cutting –edge techniques in plastic surgery. His compassion, artistry, and southern California flair provide a unique blend of talents for his patients.

Dr. Antimarino holds privileges at Excela Westmoreland and Latrobe Hospitals as well as UPMC East Hospital. He is also on staff at the wound center at Excela Westmoreland. He holds memberships at the Latrobe Academy of Medicine and Greater Pittsburgh Plastic Surgical Society. Dr. Antimarino is also currently serving on the program committee for the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Hjeff-examining-me-photoe has been named one of Pittsburgh’s Top Doctors for the last 3 years and continues to build a strong community connection through numerous speaking opportunities involving breast reconstruction, and women’s health.

Bellissimo Plastic Surgery is Dr. Antimarino’s opportunity to directly influence the direction of patient care for the future and reflects his belief in building relationships that revolve around trust and communication with his patients. His desire reflects that of Gaspar Tagliacozzi, the father of modern plastic surgery, as Dr. Antimarino believes in “restoring, rebuilding, and making whole… that it might buoy the spirit and help the mind…”

Dr. Antimarino is extremely conscientious of his patients. He is very informative, personable and accessible! I have always been able to easily reach any staff member of Bellissimo, including Dr. Antimarino himself, with any questions. He has a very calm and non-hurried approach. I did not feel like I was a “number” being rushed through, but rather treated as an individual and had my expectations of surgery understood. His surgical ability is top notch and I couldn’t be happier with my result. – RealSelf
